Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, which makes the week before it a busy one. If you are trying to plan Oct. 19 to 26 around Omaha, here are five confirmed options, one of them free, with the dates, times, and prices I verified on each venue’s own site.
I’m Lacory Gordon, a REALTOR with Revel Realty. I put these lists together because half my clients are new to the metro, and the other half have kids who want to know what’s next. Everything below was rechecked on Oct. 14, 2026.
Key takeaways
- Cass Street Trick ‘R’ Treat is free on Sat., Oct. 24, 9 a.m. to noon, at 7023 Cass St.
- Kipp’s Glow After Dark runs nightly through October, 4:30 to 8 p.m., and the Glow Bash is Sat., Oct. 24, 3 to 7 p.m.

Cass Street Trick ‘R’ Treat (free)
If you only do one thing this week and you have little kids, make it this one. The Omaha Conservatory of Music hosts a completely free Halloween carnival with the Omaha Community Playhouse and Omaha Academy of Ballet on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at 7023 Cass St. Expect games, candy, and a zombie orchestra. Costumes are encouraged. Go early, because free and morning-friendly is a popular combination.
Kipp: Glow After Dark and the Glow Bash
Kipp, the indoor play park at 14445 W. Center Road, runs Not So Spooky: Glow After Dark every day in October from 4:30 to 8 p.m. That means neon Halloween lighting, a self-guided glow scavenger hunt, crafts, and a candy treat on the way out. The craft station for Oct. 19 to 25 is Halloween friendship bracelets. It is included with admission.
The big one is the Not So Spooky Glow Bash on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. Kipp lists a Halloween DJ, a neon slime lab, UV hand marbling, a glow scavenger hunt, treats, and character appearances from 4 to 6 p.m. It is included with regular admission. Costumes are welcome but have to allow safe movement, so skip masks that block vision, inflatables, and long capes. Kipp grip socks are required.
Zootacular at Henry Doorly Zoo
Zootacular runs Friday through Sunday, Oct. 23 to 25, plus Oct. 30, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (There are also nights Oct. 16 to 18 if you want to go sooner.) Think glowing pathways, trick-or-treat stations along Treat Street, live entertainment, a glow dance party, and after-hours animal encounters.
Pricing for 2026: non-member tickets are $25 for adults 12 and up and $15 for kids 3 and up. Members save 20%, which brings it to $20 and $12. Family VIP and private igloo packages cost more and sell out, so book ahead if you want those.
Skinny Bones Haunted Nights and Flashlight Night
Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch near Blair is open through Nov. 1. On Saturdays in October, JJ’s Corn Maze turns into Haunted Nights from 7 to 10 p.m., with scarers in the rows and no flashlights allowed. In this window that is Saturday, Oct. 24. Fridays are Flashlight Night from 6 to 10 p.m., when you bring your own light and work the maze without the jump scares, so Friday, Oct. 23 is the gentler option. Check the site for ticket prices before you drive out.
Planning tips
- Saturday the 24th is stacked. You could do Cass Street in the morning, Kipp in the afternoon, and the zoo at night if your crew has the energy.
- Evening events get cold fast this time of year, so plan costumes that fit over a coat.
- For more of the season, my Omaha fall activities guide covers pumpkin patches and parks, and my trick-or-treat neighborhoods post is built for Oct. 31.
